About Us
Oak Grove Middle School serves 1,200 students in grades 6-8. OGMS has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a National Blue Ribbon School and is currently rated a level “B” by the Mississippi Department of Education. Oak Grove Middle School has also received the Patriotic Employer and Pro Patria Awards by the Department of Defense for employer support of the National Guard and Reserve. OGMS has been twice named to the Best Middle Schools List by U.S. News & World Report.
OGMS offers a variety of activities that allow students to become active members on campus, including football, basketball, baseball, cheerleading, soccer, archery, track and field, volleyball, softball, tennis, wrestling, dance and fishing. We have award winning fine arts programs in Band, Choir, Show Choir and Theatre. We also offer numerous clubs such as Junior Beta Club, FBLA, Student Council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Junior Civitan, First Priority, Stem Club, Robotics Club, Garden Club, Art Club, and Sign Language Club.
