Rules and Procedures
Students are expected to follow all rules and procedures as listed in the LCSD handbook. Parents, I will make every effort to contact you before writing your child up unless there is a major incident.
Treat others the way you would like to be treated—politely and respectfully.
Please do not speak in class without permission.
Please do not get out of your seat without permission.
You may have water in a clear bottle at your desk. Please do not have other drinks or snacks without permission.
Please do not touch others' belongings, including mine, without permission.
Please be honest.
Please be prepared for class, and be as organized as possible.
Please pay attention.
Please help transitions to be smooth, quiet, and quick.
Learn from your mistakes and move on. Don't get upset. Get better.
Be the best person you can be. :-)

What does Mrs. Haynes expect?
Always do your best.
Respect everyone and their personal space.
Be respectful of others' opinions.
Raise your hand to speak/ask a question.
Use a reasonable tone of voice when speaking.
Turn in assignments when they are due!
Ready for High school Literacy

Tuesday- Students will thoroughly use evidence to justify an explanation.
Wednesday- Students will learn how to approach discipline-specific vocabulary. Students will transform information from a visual form into text and text to a visual form.
Thursday-Students will use close reading and annotation to help them deepen their understanding of weathering and erosion.
Friday- Students will design their own investigation to model a novel weathering or erosion process that is responsible for creating a particular landform.

Students will work daily to improve the necessary skills that will help them experience success in their academic classes. Students will do so via Lexia Strategies and Edgenuity. Lexia Strategies focuses on reading skills, while Edgenuity focuses on math skills. Learning strategies serves as Tier 3 intervention.
