Week of 9-6-2021

Monday, 9-6   Labor Day Holiday

We will begin our unit on Classification,  Students will define, and we will discuss, the 11 vocabulary terms for the unit.  We will watch a video on the Linnean Classification System.  We will read and discuss Lesson 1, "Classification of Living Things."

Week of 9-13-2021

Students will learn about the 4 Kingdoms and the characteristics of the organisms in each kingdom.  This week, students will create their own Kingdom Flip Booklet. 

Week of 9-20-2021

Classification Vocabulary Test---Wednesday, 9/22

We will read and discuss Lesson 2, "How Kingdoms are Subdivided."  Students will learn about the dichotomous key and how it operates.  Students will complete several dichotomous keys to better understand the process.
