OGMS Archery uniforms are REQUIRED to attend & participate in Meets and Tournaments once received. All students who completed the Archery packet including a current physical, paid the dues, and participate in the practices (after competing in tryouts & making the team) are part of the team. However, the number of team members who compete at school meets depends upon:
- Following all safety & range rules
- Attendance and participation in practices
- The current list of top shooters
- Number of competitors our opponents have/can hold
Ties are broken by seeing who made the mosts 10's (aka bullseyes) in the 6 scored rounds. If the number of 10's made are also equal, we check who had the most 9's. If 9's made are also equal, we checks 8's & so forth until the tie is broken. That is how one student is ranked above another student who has the exact same score. This would also be used to distinguish between the 12th shooter (whose score is part of the team score) & the 13th shooter (whose score would NOT be used as part of the team score.)
