While the state's criteria for grading have changed, our dedication to your child’s success remains exactly the same. We are incredibly proud of the tradition of continued excellence in LCS. We are also proud of how hard our teachers work day in and day out to strive towards that tradition of excellence. Under this new model, LCS will continue to challenge, motivate, and empower students to their fullest potential. A shift in a letter grade will not change our mission to provide an outstanding educational experience.
To help provide further context, please take a moment to watch this video provided by State Superintendent of Education Dr. Lance Evans, sharing the basics of what this change means for our state.
In addition, a detailed overview of how the accountability system works, what is included in school and district grades, and how grades are calculated is provided below for your review.
